| Chris was
born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee, and graduated from Jackson High School.
He attended Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where
he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and accounting (cum laude).
Chris received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1977.
Admitted to the Bar in 1977, he also holds his certificate as a certified
public accountant in the State of Tennessee (inactive).
Upon graduating from law school,
Chris worked in the Nashville office of the national accounting firm of
Peat-Marwick-Mitchell in that firm's tax department. He began practicing
law in February, 1979 at the former Nashville law firm of Little, Thrailkill
& Owen, P.C. A member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations,
Chris concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and partnership
law, mergers and acquisitions, consulting with closely-held businesses
and their owners, employment related law, and real estate. He has taught
classes in the graduate schools of business at both Belmont University
and Vanderbilt University.
Chris and his wife have two
children and they make their home in Brentwood.
